Residential house sales were up for the month of September according to the Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors.

In September 2015, 508 homes were sold, compared with 436 last September.

For the first nine months of this year 4,816 homes have changed hands compare to 4,116 in 2014.

In Windsor, it was in south Windsor where most homes changed hands with 57 sold, followed by east Windsor with 55, and central/downtown Windsor wraps up the top three with 52 houses sold.

In the county, LaSalle was the most popular area with 40 houses sold, Lakeshore had 47 and Amherstburg had 34.
